2-(2-Chlorophenyl)-5-methyl-1,3-dioxane-5-carboxylic acid
In the title compound, C(12)H(13)ClO(4), the 1,3-dioxane ring adopts a chair conformation and the 2-chloro-benzene and methyl substituents occupy equatorial sites. The carboxyl group is in an axial inclination. In the crystal, carb-oxy-lic acid inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R(2) (2)(8) loops.

Barium salts of dibenzylidene cystines 8a-c were obtained from the reaction of Lcystine with benzaldehyde or its derivatives in the presence of barium hydroxide. Their reduction with zinc and hydrochloric acid in methanol yielded the Narylmethylcysteines ?9a-c?. These can, in turn, be converted by esterification into the methyl esters ?10 a-c. ?Reaction of N, N'-carbonyl diimidazole (Im C...
متن کامل5-(Methoxycarbonyl)thiophene-2-carboxylic acid
In the title compound, C(7)H(6)O(4)S, a monoester derivative of 2,5-thio-phene-dicarboxylic acid, the carboxylic acid and the carboxylic acid ester groups are approximately coplanar with thio-phene ring, making a dihedral angle of 3.1 (4) and 3.6 (4)°, respectively. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are connected by classical inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming centrosymmetric dimers.
متن کامل[N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone][C1-C4 carboxylic acid]: a novel solvent system with exceptional lignin solubility.
Novel solvent systems composed of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and C1-C4 carboxylic acid exhibit unique physicochemical properties, e.g. large polarity, low viscosity and excellent hydrogen bonding capacity, which have demonstrated excellent lignin solubility that outperforms conventional solvents and ionic liquids.
